The challenge
Being a new establishment, Ushuaia faced the challenge of attracting guests without the advantage of upfront social proof. Establishing a strong online presence was crucial to position Ushuaia as a luxury brand and instil confidence in potential guests to book a stay at a brand-new hotel.

Our team conducted comprehensive research on the demographics and behavior of tourists visiting Malta. This informed the development of detailed target audience personas and a communications plan. We implemented geographical and behavioural targeting as the foundation of our digital strategy.
Crafting a high-end online platform
We designed and developed a refined website for Ushuaia, clearly showcasing the property, communicating key selling points, and positioning the brand as an upmarket destination.
We integrated Ushuaia’s website with Mews, a booking management system that aggregates inbound bookings from multiple online points onto a single dashboard. Integration with Mews was critical in enabling Ushuaia’s administrative staff to streamline operations with respect to direct bookings.
Brand collaterals
To deliver a consistent luxury experience, we collaborated with Ushuaia’s internal designers to create branded materials and merchandise. These included menus, info packs, bathrobes, and more, distributed throughout the hotel and guest rooms.
Driving bookings
We implemented a multi-phased digital marketing funnel to drive bookings, whilst maximising ROI.
Google PPC campaigns targeted prospective guests, optimising media spending based on territories with the lowest cost per booking, maximising return on investment.
Social media retargeting campaigns engaged past website visitors, showcasing the hotel’s visual appeal and offering direct booking promotions to increase profitability per stay.
